Dos and Don’ts for Using the Forum - Ketschak - 06 Mar 2013

This forum is intended to be a place to gather together, share ideas and discuss development issues in conjunction with the Murl Engine.

While it is not explicit forbidden to write posts in German language, everyone is encouraged to compose the posts in English language. This will increase the accessibility and you will get a wider audience for your posts.

The dos
  • Stay on topic. Start a new thread, if you want change the subject.
  • Post in the correct section.
  • Be friendly and helpful. We all started as noobs.
  • Use relevant thread titles and a detailed description of your problem.
  • Use the search function before you post.
  • Use easy and simple English. Remember that not everyone in the forum is a native English speaker. Make a habit of using simple English whenever you post or giving replies.

The don’ts
  • Posting any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material or otherwise in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Posting any copyrighted material unless you own the copyright or you have written consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.
  • Posting of spam or advertisements; Flood the forum with posts.
  • Post in other languages than English or German.
